Terms and Conditions

Legal Statement

These Terms and Conditions establish the formal agreement between you and Mercia Skin ('the Clinic', 'we', 'us'). By booking a session, you are accepting these terms in full. Please read them thoroughly before confirming your reservation. Last updated: 21 May 2026.

Payments and Booking

  • Bookings: You can book through our portal, email, or by phone. Booking Fee: A non-refundable fee (ÂŁ50, or 50% for treatments over ÂŁ200) secures your slot, covering admin and the practitioner's time. Payments: The remaining balance is due on the treatment day via card, cash, or bank transfer, except for pre-paid courses. Price Promise: We reserve the right to revise our rates but will always honour the specific price confirmed at the time of your booking.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • We manage a strict cancellation policy to ensure fair access for all clients and protect our schedule: Notice (48h+): You may reschedule once with more than 48 hours' notice without losing your booking fee. Late Notice (<48h): Changes within 48 hours will result in the forfeiture of your booking fee. No-Shows: If you do not attend without notice, we reserve the right to charge the full service amount. Clinic Postponements: If we must cancel due to unforeseen events (like staff illness), we will provide a full refund or priority rescheduling.

Client Suitability and Responsibilities

  • Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early for medical paperwork. Arrivals over 15 minutes late may result in a shortened treatment or cancellation, with the full fee applicable. Medical History: Providing an honest and complete history is vital. We are not liable for complications from undisclosed information. Age Policy: Clients must be 18+. We operate a 'Challenge 25' policy; please carry a valid photo ID. Any person under 18 will be refused treatment in accordance with UK law.

Consent and Clinical Results

  • Clinical Results: Aesthetic treatments are bespoke to each client. While we aim for excellence, results vary and specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Risk Awareness: By signing your Consent Form, you acknowledge potential side effects (like bruising or swelling) discussed during consultation. Patient Safety: We reserve the right to refuse treatment if we deem it unsafe or if expectations are unrealistic. In such cases, your booking fee will be fully refunded without delay.

Limitation of Liability

  • Statutory Rights: As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015, nothing here excludes liability for personal injury caused by our negligence. Global Limits: For all other claims, our liability is capped at the cost of the provided service. We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings during any period of recovery.

Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in strict accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. To meet legal and insurance obligations, clinical records and photographs are stored securely for a minimum of 10 years.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our duties due to events outside our control, including power failures, industrial action, pandemics, or any government-mandated lockdowns and restrictions.

Dispute Resolution

  1. We strive for exceptional care. If your experience is unsatisfactory, please email hello@skinclinicnottingham.co.uk within 7 days. We will set up a follow-up consultation to address your concerns. If a resolution cannot be met, both parties agree to engage in mediation before pursuing legal action. We aim to resolve all grievances professionally and fairly for our clients.

Governing Law

These terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all related matters.
